ÖSOP Summer 2026: €130,000 PLO Festival at Grand Casino Aš (July 15-19)

The ÖSOP is Back. Bigger, Better, And With More PLO.

The Ominösen Series of Poker returns to Grand Casino Aš for its summer edition, running July 15 to 19, 2026. Five days, ten events, €130,000 in guaranteed prize money. The ÖSOP January edition smashed its guarantees, with €125,000 guaranteed across the whole poker festival. The summer edition raises the guarantee, upgrades the PLO Mystery Bounty to €15,000, and adds two brand new formats.

This is the first live poker festival in the DACH region to run PLO4, PLO5, and PLO6 in five days. If you have been grinding the 5-card or 6-card PLO variants online and want your first live reps in these formats, this is the only event in 2026 where you can do it.

Grand Casino Aš sits at the German-Czech border, 15 minutes from Selb in Bavaria. Easy to reach. Easy to extend into a long weekend. And as of this summer, there is a brand new hotel directly next to the casino.

Marc Gork: The Host of the ÖSOP

The ÖSOP is Marc Gork‘s festival. He presents it, shapes it, and brings his community to the poker tables. If you follow PLO in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, you already know who he is.

Gork broke through at EPT Dortmund 2009 and has spent the years since becoming one of the most recognizable faces in the German-speaking poker world. His Twitch channel built the audience that makes this festival work: PLO-obsessed, engaged, and always ready to talk four-card hands.

The ÖSOP’s PLO-heavy schedule reflects his influence directly. The January edition featured four PLO events. The summer edition runs six, including the new PLO5 and PLO6 turbos that many live festivals have not touched yet.

What is New in Summer 2026

Three things separate this edition from January.

1. The guarantee is up. €130,000 total versus €125,000 in January. The PLO Mystery Bounty alone jumped from €10,000 to €15,000 with a 100K starting stack, the second-deepest PLO stack depth in the series.
2. PLO5 Turbo and PLO6 Turbo join the schedule for the first time. PLO5 runs on Thursday afternoon at €60. PLO6 runs Friday afternoon at €60. Both are turbo formats ideal for players wanting their first live reps in these variants without a full-day commitment. No other live festival in the region is running both formats in the same week.
3. Two PLO Main Event satellite flights have been added at €40 each. Friday evening and Saturday morning, five seats guaranteed per flight. The cheapest path into the €25,000 PLO Main Event.

Full Tournament Schedule

For PLO grinders, the core week looks like this:

• PLO5 Turbo Thursday afternoon
• PLO Warm Up Thursday evening
• PLO6 Turbo Friday afternoon
• PLO Mystery Bounty Friday evening with the PLO365 Last Longer running
• PLO Main Event Saturday afternoon, with the PLO365 Last Longer running
• PLO Bounty Turbo Saturday night to close the week.

Additionally, there is an incredibly juicy €150 NLHE Main Event with €50,000 guaranteed running between the 17th and 19th of July.

PLO365 Last Longer: Win Your Buy-In Back

PLO365 is back as a sponsor of the ÖSOP and running the Last Longer competition for the second time. The format is simple. The player wearing a PLO365 patch who survives longest in the tournament wins one full buy-in refund. Players can re-enter the tournament as many times as they like, but the prize covers one buy-in only, regardless of how many entries were taken.

How it works:

• Step 1: Register in advance online via the PLO365 sign-up page, which opens at least 3 days before the event. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email. If you have not registered in advance, you can also sign up in person at the PLO365 table during the registration window on the day of the tournament.
• Step 2: Arrive at the casino and collect your patch during the registration window. You check in with your first name and email at the PLO365 table in the tournament area.
• Step 3: Wear the patch visibly throughout your tournament.
• Step 4: The last PLO365 patch wearer standing wins one full buy-in refund in cash.

Running in two events:

1. PLO Mystery Bounty, Friday, July 17. Registration window: from 1 hour before start (16:00) until the end of the first break.
2. PLO Main Event, Saturday, July 18. Registration window: from 1 hour before start (13:00) until the end of the first break.

Budget options in Aš (Czech side, from €40)

Three options in Aš town itself, all under €45 per night.

• Pension Vendetta is a family pension in a quiet part of Aš, 7 rooms plus an apartment, all with private bath and free WiFi.
• Hotel Perfect Place sits in the town centre with a bar on site. Singles, doubles, and triples available.

Mid-range German side (from €55, 10-15 min drive)

• Fränkischer Hof in Rehau is a charming 3-star hotel in the center of town, from €55 per night. Access to the Fichtelgebirge hiking and cycling network directly from the hotel.
• Hotel Landgasthof Ploß in Schönwald is a family-run hotel with recently renovated rooms, from €64 per night. One kilometer from the A93 motorway.
• Schade’s Wohlfühlhotel in Selb is a 4-star wellness hotel in peaceful countryside near the Fichtelgebirge, from €69 per night. 21 double rooms, all non-smoking, most with a balcony.

Czech spa option (from €59)

Hotel Seeberg sits near Franzensbad (Františkovy Lázně), one of Bohemia’s famous spa triangle towns, from €59 per night. The hotel includes a relaxation and wellness studio with sauna and saltwater pool. Ideal if you want to turn the trip into a recovery weekend alongside the poker.

What to Do Around Aš

The location is one of the underrated parts of this festival. You are sitting at a point where Germany, Czech Republic, and the Fichtelgebirge converge. Everything below is within 15 minutes by car.

German side

Selb is 15 minutes across the border and is one of the great porcelain cities of Europe. The Porzellanikon is Germany’s national porcelain museum, and the town has outlet shops from Rosenthal, Hutschenreuther, and other historic manufacturers. If you collect ceramics or just want something to bring home that is not a keyring, this is the stop.

The Fichtelgebirge starts just past Selb. Well-marked cycling and hiking trails, the Kornberg summit with panoramic views across the region, and enough forest trails to clear your head after a deep run in the NLHE or PLO Main Event.

Rehau is the market town serving the German side of the border. Calm, practical, good for a meal outside the casino.

Czech side

Franzensbad (Františkovy Lázně) is 20 minutes south and is one of the three great spa towns of Western Bohemia alongside Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně. The colonnades and thermal springs have been running since the 18th century. A walk through the town center followed by a spa session is the standard move for players who want a full rest day between events. Hotel Seeberg is a few minutes from the town center if you want to make this your base.

Cheb is 15 minutes south and has one of the best-preserved medieval old towns in the region. The castle, the market square, and the old town lanes are worth the drive. Good restaurants and a very different atmosphere from a casino floor.

Marc Gork: Der Host der ÖSOP

Die ÖSOP ist Marc Gorks Festival. Er präsentiert es, gestaltet es und bringt seine Community an die Tische. Wer PLO in Deutschland, Österreich oder der Schweiz verfolgt, kennt ihn bereits.

Was ist neu im Sommer 2026

Drei Dinge unterscheiden sich von der Ausgabe im Januar.

Die Garantie ist gestiegen. €130.000 gesamt gegenüber €125.000 im Januar. Allein der PLO Mystery Bounty ist von €10.000 auf €15.000 gestiegen, mit einem 100K Starting Stack.

PLO5 Turbo und PLO6 Turbo sind erstmals gemeinsam im Programm. PLO5 läuft am Donnerstagvormittag für €60. PLO6 Freitagnachmittag für €60. Beide Turbo-Formate sind ideal für Spieler, die ihre ersten Live-Reps in diesen Varianten sammeln wollen, ohne einen ganzen Tag zu investieren. Kein anderes Live-Festival in der Region bietet beide Formate in derselben Woche an.

Zwei PLO Main Event Satellite Flights wurden hinzugefügt, je €40, Freitagabend und Samstagmorgen, mit jeweils fünf garantierten Tickets. Der günstigste Weg ins €25.000 PLO Main Event.

PLO365 Last Longer: Buy-in zurückgewinnen

PLO365 ist zum zweiten Mal Sponsor der ÖSOP und richtet wieder den Last Longer-Wettbewerb aus. Das Format ist einfach. Der Spieler mit sichtbarem PLO365-Patch, der am längsten im Turnier überlebt, gewinnt ein volles Buy-in zurück. Re-Entries sind erlaubt, aber der Gewinn deckt unabhängig von der Anzahl der gespielten Entries nur ein Buy-in ab.

So funktioniert es:

• Schritt 1: Im Voraus online über die PLO365-Anmeldeseite registrieren, die mindestens 3 Tage vor dem Event öffnet. Nach der Anmeldung kommt eine Bestätigungsmail. Wer sich vorab nicht registriert hat, kann sich auch persönlich am PLO365-Tisch während des Anmeldefensters am Turniertag anmelden.
• Schritt 2: Im Casino ankommen und den Patch während des Anmeldefensters abholen. Einchecken mit Vorname und E-Mail am PLO365-Tisch im Turnierbereich.
• Schritt 3: Den Patch während des gesamten Turniers sichtbar tragen.
• Schritt 4: Der letzte verbliebene PLO365-Patchträger gewinnt eine vollständige Buy-in-Erstattung in bar.

Läuft in zwei Events:

1. PLO Mystery Bounty, Freitag, 17. Juli. Anmeldefenster: 1 Stunde vor Turnierstart (16:00 Uhr) bis zum Ende der ersten Pause.

Was es rund um Aš zu erleben gibt

Die Lage ist einer der unterschätzten Vorteile dieses Festivals. Man befindet sich genau dort, wo Deutschland, Tschechien und das Fichtelgebirge aufeinandertreffen. Alles hier ist innerhalb von 15 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar; Franzensbad ist etwa 20 Minuten südlich.

Auf der Deutschen Seite

• Selb liegt 15 Minuten hinter der Grenze und ist eine der großen Porzellanstädte Europas. Das Porzellanikon ist Deutschlands nationales Porzellanmuseum, und die Stadt hat Outletshops von Rosenthal, Hutschenreuther und anderen traditionsreichen Herstellern. Wer Keramik sammelt oder einfach etwas Besonderes mit nach Hause nehmen möchte, ist hier genau richtig.
• Das Fichtelgebirge beginnt direkt hinter Selb. Ausgeschilderte Rad- und Wanderwege, der Kornberg-Gipfel mit Panoramablick über die Region und genügend Waldwege, um den Kopf nach einem tiefen Run im PLO Main Event freizubekommen.
• Rehau ist die Marktstadt auf deutscher Seite der Grenze. Ruhig, praktisch, gut für eine Mahlzeit abseits des Casinos.

Auf der Tschechischen Seite

Franzensbad (Františkovy Lázně) liegt 20 Minuten südlich und ist eine der drei großen Kurstädte Westböhmens, neben Karlsbad und Marienbad. Die Thermalquellen laufen seit dem 18. Jahrhundert. Ein Spaziergang durch das Stadtzentrum, gefolgt von einem Spa-Besuch, ist die Standardlösung für Spieler, die zwischen den Events einen vollständigen Ruhetag brauchen. Das Hotel Seeberg liegt wenige Minuten vom Stadtzentrum entfernt.

Cheb liegt 15 Minuten südlich und hat eine der besterhaltenen mittelalterlichen Altstädte der Region. Die Burg, der Marktplatz und die alten Gassen sind die Fahrt wert.
