The Great Game of Pot Limit Omaha is back in full swing at the Venetian Las Vegas, and the four-card action has been nothing short of spectacular. Jeremy Ausmus has officially added another piece of hardware to his trophy case, taking down Event #3 of the PGT PLO Series: the $5,300 Pot-Limit Omaha Quattro Bounty.
Navigating a tough field of 49 PLO specialists, Ausmus walked away with $77,450 in total earnings, comprising a $51,450 first-place prize and a hefty $26,000 picked up in bounties. This marks Ausmus’s second deep run of the series, hot on the heels of a seventh-place finish in Event #2.
The Quattro Bounty Frenzy and a Brutal Bubble
The single-day event generated a total prize pool of $245,000, with $98,000 carved out specifically for the bounty hunters. In the Quattro format, the tension gets dialed up as bounties only came into play once the field narrowed down to the final 13 players.
The bounty bubble itself burst in the most dramatic PLO fashion imaginable. Chino Rheem, who has been an absolute force on the felt this week, found a miracle gutshot straight flush to completely crack the ace-high flush of Thomas Brown.
From there, the remaining contenders battled to reach the final seven to secure a guaranteed payday of at least $5,880. The unfortunate “stone bubble” boy was Eric Backlund. After commanding the chip lead earlier in the day, Backlund was whittled down to just three big blinds. Philip Shing delivered the final blow, hitting a crucial club flush runout to send Backlund to the rail empty-handed and secure the money for the rest of the pack.
Several heavy hitters took their shot at the Quattro Bounty but fell short of the cash, including Bruno Furth, Cary Katz, James Chen, Maxx Coleman, Anthony Zinno, Sam Soverel, and Joao Simao.
Final Table Action: Riordan Runs Hot
As the final table of seven was set, Ausmus found himself hovering in the middle of the pack. The bounties being live meant chips were flying, and action players were more than willing to gamble on massive wraps and combo draws.
Jordan Glazer was the first casualty of the final table, bowing out in seventh place. After his departure, John Riordan took absolute control. Catching heat at the perfect time, Riordan found a series of unlikely runouts to single-handedly eliminate Dylan Linde, Artem Maksimov, and Chino Rheem in rapid succession.

Heads-Up: Ausmus vs. Shing
The three-handed battle between Riordan, Shing, and Jeremy Ausmus was a grind, lasting nearly three full levels of high-level PLO strategy. Eventually, Riordan’s momentum cooled, and he was ousted by Shing in third place.
Heads-up play began with Ausmus holding a slight 1.5-to-1 chip advantage, but in the swingy world of PLO, that lead was tested immediately. The tournament concluded on a tense final hand where Ausmus raised the button and Shing defended his big blind. The two got all the chips in on the T♣️5♠️3♠️ flop:
