Dirk Gerritse

Sunday sessions are becoming a staple for Dirk Gerritse (aka thevenividi1993). The Dutch Omaha Poker legend is now streaming consistently, giving fans a front-row seat to the highest variance games on the internet.

In his latest broadcast, venividi1993 tackles the “Sunday Omaholic” with $15,000 up top, navigates the treacherous bubbles of high-roller tournaments, and, as always, can’t resist the allure of the nosebleed cash game tables on CoinPoker.

Chasing Gold: The Sunday Omaholic Final Table

The primary goal of the stream was simple: Take down the $15k Sunday Omaholic.

Viewers get a masterclass in tournament PLO as Gerritse navigates a field of 38+ entries in the high rollers. The stream captures the brutal reality of tournament grinding, from the “stone cold bubble” tension across three different tables to executing disciplined folds that most players would never find.

“We’re in an exploitative fold era,” Dirk jokes after laying down a strong hand on the bubble.

While the tournament run provided the structure, the real drama came from the deep-stacked cash games running on the side.

“Too Much Action”: The High Stakes Cliffhanger

Midway through the tournament grind, the action on CoinPoker heated up. Gerritse fired up $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables, and the pots quickly escalated.

The stream features some massive swings, including a heart-breaking $40,000 pot where Gerritse gets it in good but sees the board run out against him. The action became so intense that Dirk actually had to end the stream early to focus purely on the gameplay.

“Okay, boys and girls… Last hand on the stream and then I’m going to switch off stream. Too much action, too high stakes. Have to focus.”

VeniVidi on Bankrolls, Monker, and Messi

Between the intense all-ins, Dirk Gerritse spent time answering chat questions, offering a rare glimpse into the mind of a high-stakes crusher:

  • On Bankroll Management: Dirk didn’t sugarcoat his past. “I’m probably not the best person to take bankroll advice from because I went broke multiple times over. It’s tough to explain that to your parents.”
  • On Study Tools: When asked about the best GTO tools for PLO tournaments, he didn’t hesitate: “Monker, my man. That’s where the real juice is at.”
  • On The GOAT Debate: Messi or Ronaldo? “It’s pretty clearly Messi… Ronaldo was talented, but the universe gave Messi the gift.”
