Contrasting Paths to Victory

The two champions represent different paths in poker excellence. Rheem, a seasoned professional with over $16 million in career tournament earnings, added another prestigious title to his impressive resume. His victory reinforces his status as one of poker’s most consistent performers at the highest levels.

Costa, meanwhile, balances his poker pursuits with a successful medical career at Platinum Plastic Surgery in Las Vegas. His poker journey began around 2008, playing cash games at the Borgata on the East Coast. This victory marks his first major tournament title, proving that part-time players can compete successfully at the highest stakes.

About the PokerGO Tour PLO Series

The PGT PLO Series has become a cornerstone of high-stakes poker since its 2023 debut. Hosted at the PokerGO Studio inside ARIA Resort & Casino, the series features buy-ins ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. Players compete not only for substantial prize pools but also PGT leaderboard points. These points are crucial for qualifying for the prestigious PGT $1,000,000 Championship. The series attracts elite professionals and PLO specialists from around the world, contributing to its status as one of poker’s premier events.

Looking Ahead

Both winners have different plans following their victories. Rheem continues his pursuit of PGT leaderboard points, aiming to maintain his position atop the standings. Costa returns to his medical practice while likely planning his next “weekend warrior” poker appearance.
