And in the heads-up two PLO giants faced eachother: Ben Tollerene vs Lautaro Guerra. At the start of the heads-up duel Tollerene was sitting on 36M chips, while Guerra had only 17M. It was a lot of heated action, back and forth and Guerra was able to close in on Tollerene more and more.
In a massive hand Guerra got it in with A♠A♥10♠2♥ vs Q♣Q♥8♥6♥ from Tollerene. The board ran out 5♥4♦5♣J♣10♣ and the aces scooped a massive 56M pot which left Tollerne down to only 2M in chips.
The last chips went in quickly after. Tollerene showed 8♦7♣5♣4♥, Guerra A♠6♠6♦5♦. The board ran out: Q♦3♥10♣3♠5♥. Tollerene did not overcome Guerra’s Pocket Sixes and got 2nd for $1,6M while Guerra won the trophy and a sick $2,1M payday.
