Final Day Recap
Sean Winter started the final table with the chip lead and never looked back, delivering a wire-to-wire performance in PGT PLO Series Event #5: $10,100 Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Bounty. While he briefly dipped from the top spot, Winter’s relentless aggression and timely hands kept him in control throughout.
The day began with fireworks as Jesse Lonis, short-stacked, was eliminated in fifth place after a massive four-way all-in. Nick Palma, aka Nicky P, made the nut flush on the turn to nearly triple up and collect Lonis’s bounty.
Taylor Wilson was the next to go, his two pair unable to fade Winter’s massive draw. Winter hit the river to make a flush, sending Wilson out in fourth. Not long after, Winter sent Palma to the rail in third. On a board of J♦️J♠️3♥️J♣️8♥️, Palma bluffed all in, but Winter snap-called with the last jack, locking up the knockout.
Heads-up, Sam Soverel managed to nearly even the stacks, but one huge confrontation ended it all. Winter three-bet preflop with A♠️A♦️Q♦️9♦️, and Soverel called holding J♦️T♣️8♥️7♠️. Winter bet every street as the board ran out T♦️6♦️2♥️5♦️9♥️, and Soverel called down with a rivered straight, only to see Winter’s nut flush.
