What happened on Day 3 to set up the final table?
Day 3 started with 56 players. The early levels eliminated nearly two dozen players.
Notable early casualties included Daniel Perkusic, Alex Livingston, Scott Bohlman, Simon Lofberg, and Stephen Chidwick. Quan Zhou began his hot streak. He eliminated Ray Attiyah and Brant Hale within minutes.
The field reached three tables. Robert Mizrachi and Thomas Taylor exited. Javier Francort eliminated Marcello Del Grosso to set the sweet sixteen.
Francort knocked out Ben Lamb in 16th place. His aces held against Lamb’s double-suited kings. Sean Rafael made quads to crack Stefan Lehner‘s pocket aces.
Michael Rocco fell to Francort despite his 2024 bracelet win. Zhou eliminated David Paredes when he spiked two pair on the river.
