The Problem Every PLO Grinder Knows
You played a tough PLO4 spot last night. You have no idea if your line was right. So you do what serious students do: you open MonkerSolver, set up the tree, and wait.
And wait.
Sometimes 20 minutes. Sometimes hours. For one single flop.
That waiting time has a real cost. Every hour you are not studying is ev you are not recapturing. Every spot that stays unreviewed is a leak that keeps bleeding. If you play 40,000 hands a month and you are leaking 2 bb/100 on a single spot class you never fix, that is 800 big blinds walking out of your stack quietly.
This is the problem GTO Wizard just solved for Omaha Poker. In poker, GTO stands for Game Theory Optimal, a framework for building an optimal strategy that cannot be exploited. A GTO solver calculates mathematically optimal poker strategy by running simulations to find equilibrium points, producing GTO strategies that keep opponents from increasing their EV just by changing their actions.
For NLHE players crossing over: You already know GTO Wizard from Hold’em. This is the same AI engine, but rebuilt from scratch for a game that has 270,725 possible starting hand combinations. For context, NLHE has 1,326. The PLO problem is not twice as hard. It is roughly 200 times harder. That is why nobody has built a cloud-based PLO solver with complete board coverage and instant custom solving until now.
What GTO Wizard PLO Actually Delivers
GTO Wizard PLO launched in May 2026 as a standalone subscription covering PLO4 for both cash games and tournaments. One subscription covers everything: 6-max and 7-max cash at 50bb and 100bb, plus 6-max MTT from 10bb to 100bb.
Here is what is inside and why it matters for PLO specifically.
Study Mode
In NLHE, a 13×13 grid covers every starting hand. You can memorize ranges, build charts, drill hand classes. In PLO4, you are dealing with 270,725 possible starting hand combinations. The same visual tools that work for Hold’em become useless at that scale. GTO Wizard rebuilt Study Mode from scratch to handle it.
The result is the most complete PLO study environment built to date. In Study Mode, you can browse solutions from preflop to river, inspect strategies at every node, compare ranges side by side, apply filters, and graph equity and EV distributions across your entire range.
Complete Board Coverage
This is the feature that separates GTO Wizard PLO from every other PLO solver on the market. GTO Wizard solved every flop. turn and river. No missing runouts.
Every PLO grinder knows the frustration of opening their GTO solver after a session, entering the exact spot they want to review, and getting nothing back because that board is not in the library. Thanks to the full board coverage, that problem does not exist here. Whatever ran out last night, you can study it.
Strategy View

Strategy View shows how your range plays at every decision point: action frequencies, EV for each option, and combo-level strategy details. In PLO, this matters more than in Hold’em because mixed strategies are everywhere. PLO ranges almost never play at pure frequencies. Strategy View makes those mixtures readable at a glance, showing you exactly which hands bet, which check, which raise, and at what frequency across the whole range simultaneously.
Ranges Tab

The Ranges Tab compares both players’ ranges side by side. In PLO, range advantage is rarely clean. One player can have the nut advantage while the other has the equity advantage. The Ranges Tab shows you who dominates which hand classes, how EV and equity distributions compare, and where the thresholds shift. This is the feature that turns a single spot into a full range construction lesson.
EV Graph

PLO ranges have much thinner separation between hand classes than Hold’em. A top set with a flush draw and a wrap is not dramatically ahead of a combo draw with blockers, the way a top set in NLHE dwarfs a gutshot. The EV Graph makes this visible: see where your strongest and weakest combos land, how much separation exists between hand classes, and how the EV landscape shifts across different board textures. Understanding why certain spots play so differently from how your intuition expects starts here.
Categories

This is the feature PLO students have needed for years. In Hold’em, you can study by hand strength because the hand classes are manageable. In PLO, that breaks down immediately. A hand can be a top set, nut wrap, and backdoor flush draw simultaneously. Trying to study by individual combo is like trying to find a word by reading every page of the dictionary.
Categories solve this by grouping hands into strategic buckets: sets, two pair, wraps (straight draws using three or four hole cards), flush draws, blockers, EV buckets, and more. Each bucket shows its betting frequency, EV, and how it plays across different actions. Which draws barrel? What made hands slow down? Which blockers flip into bluffs on certain textures? Categories give you answers by pattern instead of by individual hand, which is the only way PLO study scales.
Hero Cards

Select any card in your range and instantly see how holding it changes your action frequencies and EV across the entire hand class. In PLO, blockers are not a secondary consideration. They are a primary strategic lever. Holding the ace of spades on a two-spade board changes how every hand in your range plays, not just the ones with the ace of spades in them. Hero Cards make this visible in seconds instead of requiring you to manually filter and compare combos one by one.
Macros

Macros are a flexible search syntax for filtering any spot to exactly what you need. Filter by cards, suits, hand classes, draw types, blockers, or combine operators for precision.
A few examples directly relevant to PLO study:
- “NWRAP” – nut wrap draw (13-20 outs to the nut straight)
- “2PTT” – top two pair
- “sshh” – double suited to two specific suits
- “$ds:A” – double-suited ace (preflop)
- “!Kd” – any hand not containing the king of diamonds
Every macro has a built-in description, so you never need to memorize syntax. The practical use: instead of drilling a broad spot, you isolate the exact hand class you leaked on last session and study only that until the pattern is locked in.
Solution Library
One subscription includes both cash and MTT.
The preflop library is pre-solved and ready immediately with no setup. Cash covers 6-max and 7-max at 50bb and 100bb across three rake structures: PLO500, PLO500 GG, and cEV. MTT covers 6-max chip EV from 10bb to 100bb with 16.6% antes and two RFI sizes varying by depth.
The postflop library is available to all Premium subscribers and above. It covers every flop, turn, and river. Sizings and ranges can only be configured through custom solving on Elite.
The Trainer

Study is how you build knowledge. Practice is how you turn it into instinct.
The PLO Trainer puts you against GTO solutions with instant feedback on every decision. See exactly where your strategy deviates, how much EV you are leaving behind, and which spots are your biggest leaks. Then drill those spots until the pattern becomes automatic.
Seat Formations
Specify the exact seats you want to play and what seats you want to play against. This matters in PLO because the BTN vs BB dynamic plays very differently from CO vs BTN, which plays very differently from UTG vs BTN. Instead of drilling random positions, you isolate exactly the formation you are leaking in and fix it one formation at a time.
4-Tier Grading
Every decision is graded as Correct, Inaccuracy, Mistake, or Blunder. After each action, you see your EV loss in big blinds or as a percentage of the pot. Not a vague score. The exact number your decision cost you, attached to the exact moment you made it.
3 Game Modes
Full Hand takes you from preflop to river. Single Street isolates one street for focused work. Single Spot repeats the same decision until it is locked in. In PLO, where mistakes compound across streets, Single Street mode is particularly valuable for isolating where a line starts going wrong without having to replay a full hand every time.
Advanced Filtering

This is where the trainer goes from a general practice tool to a precision leak-fixing machine. You control exactly what you drill:
Board filters let you practice specific textures or runouts. Hand filters let you filter by suits, cards, categories, or macros. EV Buckets let you drill strong, good, weak, or trash portions of your range separately. EV Difference lets you filter for critical spots where one action clearly outperforms all others, or close decisions where multiple actions are nearly indifferent.
The practical application: when learning a new spot, filter for high EV-difference situations first. These are the decisions where getting it wrong costs the most. Fix those before drilling the close ones.
Study This Spot
Every trainer hand connects back to Study Mode. When a decision surprises you, one click opens the full solution in a new tab. You study the answer, understand the reasoning, then return and drill it again. This is the feedback loop that was missing from static libraries. The gap between “I got that wrong” and “I understand why” closes in seconds instead of hours.
Quick Play
One click starts a training session immediately with zero configuration. When you want to drill without setup, Quick Play gets you into hands instantly. When you want to target something specific, the full filter suite is there.
The Technology
PLO4 has over 270,000 starting hand combinations, more than 200 times Hold’em. Solving PLO completely with high accuracy is one of the hardest engineering problems in poker software. GTO Wizard’s AI engine is the same one that defeated the 2018 ACPC champion Slumbot by +19.4 bb/100 over 150,000 hands. That engine now handles PLO4 with full board coverage and instant custom solving.
GTO Wizard also recently launched a public AI benchmark leaderboard. Every major AI model was tested against their poker agent: GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and more. Every one lost.
Game Integrity
Fair Play Check, GTO Wizard’s real-time assistance detection technology used by ACR, Playtech (Champion Poker), GGPoker and others, now extends to PLO. The PLO community is smaller and more connected than Hold’em. Keeping those games clean matters more here, not less.
What Is Coming Next
Aggregated flop reports, mobile support, a breakdown tab, custom drills, trainer performance stats, and an expanded preflop library are all confirmed in development. Further out: PLO5, PLO6, and multi-tabling trainer support. We will update this review as each feature ships.

| FlopHero | PLO4 | Selected spots | Yes, 10 hands/day | 10% off (code: PLO365) | Get Deal (Use code PLO365) | Read Review |
The column that matters most depends on what you play. For PLO4, board coverage is the deciding factor. GTO Wizard PLO is the only solver on this list that covers every flop, turn, and river with no gaps. If you played a tricky river spot last night, you can look it up exactly as it ran out. No other tool in this comparison can say that.
For PLO5 players, Vision GTO Trainer (from Run It Once) and PLO Trainer (from PLO Mastermind) both have you covered. PLO Genius goes furthest on variant support, covering PLO4, PLO5, and PLO6 on the Pro plan, making it the only option here for six-card Omaha. FlopHero covers PLO4 only.
GTO Wizard Pricing and Your 10% GTO Wizard Discount
GTO Wizard PLO runs on three tiers.
- Free Plan ($0): 1 postflop spot per day, 5 trainer hands per day, access to 1 preflop stack depth. No credit card. No expiry. Enough to explore Study Mode and understand what the platform actually does.
- Premium Plan ($139/month, early bird): Full pre-solved library, all preflop stack depths, unlimited trainer. The standard rate after the early bird ends is $179/month. This is the right tier for the serious cash grinder or tournament regular who wants to review hands and create custom drills without limits.

Who Should Use Which Tier
- You are an NLHE player looking at PLO: Start with the free tier tonight. No card, no commitment. Run 5 trainer hands. Open a preflop spot you have been curious about. The interface will be familiar. The game will not be. That is the point.
- You are a PLO cash grinder: Premium. You review the last session the same night instead of building a backlog. Every spot, every board, instantly. The unlimited trainer means you drill the specific spots you actually leak on instead of generic random hands, and track progress over repeated trainer work. That gives you a real edge.
- You are a serious PLO reg or coach: Elite. Custom solving replaces your local solver for PLO4 work. You set the bet sizes used in your actual game, import your own preflop ranges to build the tree, and solve the spot that happened three hours ago. Your students get a study session built on their exact game instead of a generic library tree.
Do This Next Session
Open the free tier tonight. Find the last PLO4 spot that confused you, any street, any position. Enter it into Study Mode. Click Categories. Filter the ranges into wraps, flush draws, and made hands separately. Check which bucket had the EV advantage and at what frequency it was betting. One spot, 15 minutes. That is the habit.
Honest Limitations
GTO Wizard PLO covers PLO4 only at launch. PLO5 and PLO6 are confirmed in development with no announced timeline.
The key context: GTO Wizard PLO launches with something no other PLO solver has achieved: genuinely complete board coverage on PLO4 with no gaps. Building that foundation at the highest accuracy level is a bigger technical achievement than shipping surface-level PLO5 support on an incomplete tree. The PLO5 and PLO6 updates, when they arrive, will be built on the same engine.
Verdict: Is GTO Wizard PLO Worth It?
If you play PLO4, this is the best PLO solver on the market. Nothing else comes close on board coverage. The ability to look up any spot exactly as it ran out, solve custom trees in seconds, and drill the trainer with precision filtering puts it in a different category from every pre-solved library on this list.
The PLO4-only scope is a real limitation for PLO5 and PLO6 players. Be honest with yourself about what you actually play before subscribing. If PLO4 is your primary game, there is no reason to wait.
The free tier removes all risk. No card, no commitment, five trainer hands and one postflop spot every day with no expiry. Open it tonight. The product sells itself within ten minutes of use.
On pricing: the early bird rates are the cheapest they will ever be. There is no announced end date. The increase triggers automatically when aggregated reports and mobile support ship. Both features are in active development. Locking in now at $139/month for Premium rather than $179/month is $480 saved over a year. With the additional 10% PLO365 discount on top, the math is straightforward.
